Xiangxi’s efforts to cultivate specialized, sophisticated enterprises

The vanadium-nitrogen alloy production line of Hunan Zhongxin New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. is operating at full capacity. This enterprise, with an annual output value of 1 billion yuan, has become a single champion enterprise of the manufacturing industry in Hunan Province.

Zhang Chunyu, chairman of the company, said that steel with vanadium-nitrogen alloy will greatly improve its strength, toughness, ductility and other properties. In Xiangxi Prefecture, a group of “little giant” enterprises are developing rapidly. Xiangxi Prefecture has made efforts to extend its industrial chain, strengthen its innovation chain, build a talent chain, and improve its capital chain, to cultivate enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products. In the past three years, Xiangxi Prefecture has focused on key areas such as the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city group, promoting precise project docking and investment attraction in the industrial chain. The government of Xiangxi Prefecture has established industry chain offices and service teams, and timely resolved the urgent difficulties and concerns of enterprises.

Xiangxi Prefecture provides research and development funds for enterprises to strengthen their innovation chains. For instance, Luxi County spent 25.23 million yuan on science and technology in 2023, an increase of 40.95%, ranking among the top in the prefecture.

The industry standard for recycled zinc and zinc alloy ingots jointly developed by Luxi Lantiangao Technology Co., Ltd. and other companies has become an advanced national standard at home and abroad.

Hunan Jinhao New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. allocates 5% of its profits annually for technological innovation, and its products are exported to more than 20 countries and regions including the United States and Canada.

Xiangxi Fengda Alloy Technology Co., Ltd. has invested 150 million yuan in research and development in the past three years, and has a complete set of manganese-base alloy production lines that are technologically advanced worldwide.
